In this episode, I am joined by a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Minnesota, Neil Theisen. He's had internships at LivaNova and MedTronic with an upcoming term at Abbot. We talk about working in the medical device space and the work he's done with both tissue and mechanical heart valves. We talk about minimal invasive heart valve surgery and how it's accomplished and Neil shares some tips for other Engineers that may want to get an internship in the medical device industry.
