Three mainland Tasmanian devils examined to see if they were introduced or remnant on the Australian mainland. They were found on Mainland Australia. Correction second devil was found in 1971 not 1978 as i mention. Parks Victoria confirm they are not screening for Thylacine. The Tasmanian tiger has been extinct in Tasmania since late 1936.
