In this episode, we explore the unusual story of the bronze serpent in Numbers 21 — a moment of judgment, mercy, and a powerful foreshadowing of the cross. When Israel complained, God sent fiery serpents, and the people were bitten and dying. Yet instead of removing the serpents, God provided a surprising remedy: look at a bronze serpent lifted up on a pole — and live. Jesus later uses this very moment to explain His own crucifixion (John 3:14–15). The episode reminds men that salvation doesn’t come from trying harder but from looking to Christ alone. Healing begins when we stop looking inward and start looking upward.
