"All Cats are Gray", written by Andre Alice Norton, was first published in the Aug-Sept 1953 issue of Fantastic Universe Science Fiction under the pseudonym of Andrew North. Her works of Science Fiction and Fantasy garnered many awards throughout her career, eventually culminating in 2005 with the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America honoring her with the creation of the Andre Norton Award, presented to authors for outstanding science fiction or fantasy young adult literature.
