He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology. He is a Professorial Fellow of the Australian Institute of Police Management. He retired as the Dean of Law at the School of Law, University of South Australia, in 2020. Penny Wong Senator Penny Wong is the Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and Labor Leader in the Senate. Born in Malaysia, Penny moved to Adelaide with her family as a child. She has been a proud representative of South Australia in the federal Parliament since 2001. Penny served as Minister for Climate Change and Water and then Minister for Finance and Deregulation during the Rudd and Gillard Governments – when she also became the first woman to lead the Government in the Senate.
