Fidelia Fiske (1816–1864) was an American missionary and educator who devoted her life to serving in Persia (modern-day Iran). Sent by the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, she established the Fiske Seminary in Urmia — the first school for girls in the region. Through her teaching, compassion, and dedication, she helped open doors for women’s education and shared her Christian faith in a culture where such work was pioneering. Though her health was often frail, Fiske’s legacy endures as a shining example of courage, perseverance, and faith in action.Thank you for watching!
