My Golden Fried Catfish Fillets Recipe:

Recipe of the Week: April’s Golden Crispy Catfish Filets

6 catfish filets or more if desired

1 package of Louisiana Fish Fry 10 oz. or two if more filets

1 Lemon

3 Tto 4 ablespoons of Vinegar

Parsley Flakes or Chopped Chives

I Gallon Canola or Vegetable Oil( Use the Yuka App for best Selection)

Directions:

Pour the gallon of vegetable or canola oil into the deep fryer. If using a frying pan or skillet, fill it halfway before the rim and allow it to heat up.

Place catfish filets in a nice-sized bowl to clean. Rinse with cold water.

Slice the lemon into three to four medium-sized slices to clean the catfish, then squeeze over the entire catfish filets on both sides.

Rinse the catfish after cleaning with vinegar, lemon, and cold water.

Pat dry with clean paper towels or shake dry.

Coat the filets with the Louisiana Fish Fry evenly on both sides.

Once your oil is heated and hot slowly fry the filets in the cooking oil and allow them to fry for 4 minutes or so, or to your desired crispiness, but make sure they are done inside.

After frying, place on a dish with paper towels to sop up the oil and cool. Sprinkle the parsley or chopped chives on top of the catfish filets to garnish . Once cooled to your desired temperature, you are ready to serve with your favorite sides.

I would pair it with a nice, fully loaded baked potato, healthy side salad, and sweet potato fries.
