When the police showed up at Anita’s door to tell her she was a survivor of abuse by a priest, she had no memory of it. She also had no memory of the school where it took place. She also couldn’t remember the home she grew up in. These were more pieces of the puzzle in Anita’s life that didn’t go together and made no sense. Her sister gave her a few sentencefragments that left hints of shared abuse, but a wall was placed where she could not pursue that further. Holocaust dreams, rapes, shunning from family,and the inability to form lasting relationships all kept her in confusion.
