In this episode we sit down with the brilliant Alan Potter—an educator, coach, and leader in physical education with more than 19 years of helping people learn, move, and thrive.

Alan currently serves as a Principal Teacher of Health and Wellbeing, guiding programmes that build confidence, resilience, and a positive relationship with keeping fit and being active.

He’s also the founder of PEIK Professionals, an online coaching service dedicated to helping adults improve their health, fitness, and lifestyle through personalised, sustainable support.

Alongside his professional work, Alan brings the mindset of a former competitive bodybuilder who knows exactly what it takes to apply nutrition, training, and consistent habits to reach demanding goals. His achievements speak for themselves: UKDFBA Scottish Novice Champion, Scottish Open Heavyweight Champion, and UK International Champion with 3rd and 4th place finishes at that level.

In our conversation, we explore how all of these experiences—education, coaching, leadership, and consistent training—shape his approach to inspiring others. Alan shares stories from nearly two decades in the field, practical strategies for motivation, and insights into creating environments where people genuinely want to grow.

In this episode we will:

  • Discuss what inspired Alan to achieve his goals in bodybuilding
  • Hear how he took the successful strategies and habits to create a fitness and lifestyle coaching business
  • Learn how to apply some practical tips to optimise your health and wellbeing
