This week we take a look at a few historical movies centered around sapphic relationships. We discuss how most of these movies rely on the patriarchal and puritanical restrictions of the period to build a story of forbidden love, acknowledging that while female sexuality and lesbianism is a powerful transgression, we also deserve contemporary stories of queer joy, love, and acceptance.
At the end, Ivy spills some tea from the world of book twitter which inevitably sends both of us on yet another rant about book pirating and how it can affect people's livelihood.
