With half the WWE crew still overseas, SmackDown returns to North America by landing in San Jose.

Cody is in mourning or something to start the show.

The WWE Women’s Tag Championships were on the line when Alexa/Charlotte took on Zolruca, with Blake Monroe sat at ringside causing some interactions.

The US Open Challenge is back with Sami taking on Ilja Dragunov returning from a year of injury. We were repeatedly told he was hungry or starving, like WWE didn’t pay him while he was injured or something… Not like that’s ever happened.

The men’s tag division resurfaces with the Motor City Machine Guns (celebrating their 1 year in WWE) taking on Los Garza.

And our main event, was the Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre number one contenders match that didn’t happen. Jacob is in the back and appears to have had Danhausen come by, or Isacc Yankem. So we get Drew and Cody brawling and a “match”. The best part of this match was Cody losing his shoe.

I skipped recapping MFT in all the above because I’m sick of them. Plus a surprise at the end
