Wolfe Design Studio is led by architect and artist Alexander Wolfe. His work blends art, architecture, and design through collaboration with a network of creators, builders, and technicians.Like Rabindranath Tagore’s poetry, the artwork explores themes of memory and harmony. Discarded streetlamps from the Transport Department are transformed by the artist Wolfe Design Studio into a glowing responsive landscape.
The streetlamps illuminate the path, linger and slowly fade after each passerby, creating a gently pulsating environment that responds to human presence. An interactive soundscape including interpretations of Tagore’s poems read aloud by youths from the local hub Tensta Tech, can also be heard from within the installation.
The artwork is designed for all ages and invites the audience to engage with the urban landscape in a playful way. Streetlamp Grove Tensta is about connection, presence, and shared wonder.
