Jacqueline Hendricks began her work as the first Inspector General of Columbus, Ohio in February 2022. Her position was created by a charter amendment overwhelmingly passed by voters in November 2020. The charter specifies July 2022 as the first time the Inspector General’s office must be available to receive complaints about the actions of sworn officers.
