The world offers many misleading messages about disability. Host Curtis Chang and author Amy Julia Becker challenge these misconceptions, especially around what makes a life "valuable." Drawing from her journey raising a daughter with Down Syndrome, Becker highlights the profound differences between pity, compassion, and a curiosity that honors the intrinsic worth of every person. They discuss how faith communities can more meaningfully welcome and support families of children with Down Syndrome and other disabilities.
