Synthetic Device Training Instructors - STDI for short - can instruct in any organisation with an EASA license. This step in liberalisation shows how market rules apply and what the results can be.
Samuli Suokas of Lektor discusses with Vincent Lambercy and shares his experience as somebody who runs both a training organisation and an agency providing other organisations with STDIs.
The market is not mature yet and agencies can make an important contribution. And if one days ATCO endorsements can be made site independent or training significantly shorter, ATCOs could start moving around too, and the same kind of market would develop.
