In this episode of Storytime with host Janet Keeler, we meet playwright, writer, sound engineer and audiobook creator Sheila Cowley who gathers artists, actors, writers, scientists and dancers to do amazing work! The mission of Sparks Creative Stories is to provide audio stories that are accompanied visually with illustrations often by artists at Creative Clay (another collaborative effort!). They can be watched/listened to on YouTube. Some are in Spanish and English. Sheila writes most of the stories but doesn't read them. She gets actors (David Warner, Eugenie Bondurant, Fanni Green, Mimi Rice and others) to read. They are quite professional and beautiful. After the conversation, we hear Eugenie Bondurant and Fanni Green read an excerpt from Zo Can Float, a story inspired by and illustrated by USFSP's Oceanography Camp Especially For Girls. https://www.sdcowley.com/
