Hosea 8:4-7, 11-13

Psalm 113b: 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10

Matthew 9:32-38

Hello friends in Jesus, You are with me on 2 Minutes with the Lord

The prophet Hosea speaks of the situation of Israel. Lord does not accept the sinful ways of people. There are consequences to the actions that we perform. Hosea warns the people to stop unholy ways and return to the Lord.

The Gospel brings out two concepts that can help us understand the ministry of Jesus.

Firstly the intention: What does intention mean? It is the act or fact of intending something, a determination to do a specific thing in a specific manner.

Now Jesus heals a dumb man and thereafter goes on proclaiming the good news, healing the sick, compassion for the needy, suffering and sick. He felt oneness with the suffering. A good intention to care for them.

Second the Interpretation

How do the Pharisees interpret this whole act of Jesus? They say, by the ruler of the demons he casts out demons. What is interpretation? The meaning of interpretation can be, it is an act or way of explaining or an expression of person’s view.

The intention of Jesus and the interpretation of the Pharisees. Which of this is genuine? My dear friends, it happens all the time in our life. Our intention may be good but what is the interpretation of the people around us, we have to work for truth and keep building God’s kingdom.

Jesus wants us as labourers for his harvest. Let us keep aside the interpretation and work with good intention like Jesus for Jesus.

Lord instruct me and lead me in your path Amen.
