Our system of government was never intended to be a democracy. Although many believe that we live in one, they have never been asked to vote on the decisions made by said government. Yet they think that they are empowered just the same. Democracy is a political system featuring the principle of the 'rule by the people.' Instead of having one person making all the decisions in a country. Whereas our system is a republic, commonly known as a "representative democracy." In this episode, we tried to find the link between democracy, representative democracy, and a republic.
