Lets get some actual acting advice from a filmmaker.

In this video, a filmmaker discusses how actors can get cast in a role. Genuine networking is the best way to get your name out there and make connections with casting directors and other filmmakers.

The most important thing about being an actor is to know that your career is less about getting cast in a role, and more about the relationships you build. This will lead to opportunities that you otherwise may not get from your agencies or casting sites.
