When David faced Goliath as a teenager, he trusted in God's power rather than his own strength, declaring that the battle belonged to the Lord. Years later as king, David faced a different giant when he allowed boredom and desire to lead him into adultery with Bathsheba and the murder of her husband Uriah. External giants require faith in God's power to overcome impossible circumstances. Internal giants require surrendered hearts that allow God to create purity within us. Victory over both types of giants comes through Jesus Christ alone.
