Chris Kahler is the department chair for the art and design department at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois and recently took up the interim role as director of the Tarble Art Center, which is the University Art Museum.

He has an MFA from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, an MA in painting from Eastern Illinois University, and a BFA from Ohio Wesleyan University.
