"Ms. Shipton's Travelling Teashop" is a 5 part microfiction audio drama that follows the adventures of a Tea Witch who breaks down in the small village of Talford. As she waits for her van to be repaired, Ms. Shipton engages with key locals of the area, as we discover the nature of witches in this world. The piece explores themes of loneliness, companionship, loss, grief, queerness and the need for connection through vignettes of conversation. The magic of the piece is not in the tea craft, but in that which draws us to audio: Listening empathically.
