James 4:7 says, " Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil and he shall flee from you.

Today I had a great conversation about the difference between obedience and surrender. Obedience is the act of complying to a command or directive. Surrender is the heart of giving over full control.

I had to take a look at my heart in this and examine the areas in my life where I was maybe being obedient but not fully surrendering my heart to a posture of denying myself and picking up my cross and following Jesus, fully surrendered to God's will for my life.

Sometimes, we can all get comfortable and we can walk through the motions and we may be obedient, but is our heart in a state of complete surrender to God's will?

Today, I hope you will take a journey with me to seek out the areas in your life that need to be relinquished completely to God, surrendered fully to His will.
