While we were in New York for the closing of Back to the Future The Musical on Broadway we got chatting to Colin Ingram, Lead Producer for Back to the Future The Musical and thought it would be great to interview him and ask some of the many burning questions from fans!

Why didn’t we get a Broadway cast recording? Will we ever see the show return to Manchester on a UK tour? What are the chances of having a singalong night at the Adelphi Theatre? How likely is it that we’ll see a proshot or a movie being made of the musical? Is the West End production still doing well? 👀

We also learned about Colin’s career and how he became a producer, how he got involved with Back to the Future The Musical, how he’s feeling about closing on Broadway, some of the challenges of running a show on Broadway, why we never saw a Broadway cast recording and whether we might see any other versions in the future, the recently announced changes to the West End and North American Tour casts and whether we can expect to see more cast members moving between productions, and how the open auditions to find the next Marty McFly have been going.

Of course, we also got the latest news on what’s happening with the Shiki Theatre Company production in Tokyo, the Royal Caribbean production aboard the Star of the Seas, taking the Broadway set pieces to Germany, how the Australian production will tour from Sydney to Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and beyond, and what new projects he’s got in the pipeline! ⚡️

WARNING: May contain minor spoilers about Back to the Future The Musical.
