Okay, well maybe sometimes we do--but not nearly as often and in the ways "global early childhood development" would have us believe.
Gabriel Scheidecker is an anthropologist in the Department of Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies (ISEK), University of Zurich. His ethnographic research presents a challenge to rapidly globalising ideas about the "best" way to raise children. Maybe the way we raise our children is profoundly WEIRD.
