In early 2025, after seeing multiple disqualifications in the Bassmaster Elite series, we decided to tackle the controversial "Information Rule." We explain what the official rule says according to Bassmaster's own definition. Then we analyze what happened with Scott Martin, who was disqualified at his home waters of Lake Okeechobee for supposedly getting early information.
