Rhonda Nelson, renowned patient advocate author and speaker. Her most important interest is AERD ,Aspirin-Exacerbated Respiratory Disease , also known as Samter's Triad. This is a chronic medical condition that typically develops in adulthood, usually between the ages of 20 and 50. Here are some key points about AERD:

Sensitivity to NSAIDs, such as increased nasal congestion, frontal headache, sinus pain, sneezing, cough, wheezing, and chest tightness.

About 75% of patients with AERD develop mild-to-moderate respiratory reactions when they drink alcohol.
