Welcoming my next guest to Behind The Fold, Stevie Dillion! Stevie is the founder of Lifestyle Business School, an online education course business that helps aspiring founders build and leverage an expertise-based online business. After much traditional success with her business and then juggling becoming a new mother, Stevie sought after a creatively aligned and fulfilling business while also working hours that allowed her to care for her little ones. Eventually, reworking and transforming her business model, she rebuilt it with a lifestyle business sweet spot in mind! She is also the host of her own podcast Lifestyle Business School. Today we’ll get into her business evolution, fears in motherhood while running a business, family roles, identity shifts and ultimately discovering that beautiful balance as mothers!
Tune in to hear us talk more on:
• 5:38 - Her business growth, fears and preparation during and after her first pregnancy.
• 12:57 - The time in between her first and second child of feeling unaligned and conflicted, that caused her to rethink her whole business model.
• 20:00 - The experience and struggles of having her partner become the primary care giver while she continued working.
• 23:30 - How her motherhood identity and mindset changed from one birth to the next.
• 26:15 - Learning about the power of self care, slowing down and being okay with extended timelines when it comes to goals.
• 34:00 - Focusing on what matters most to you, even if it means a revenue dip in your business for a season.
I hope this episode encourages you to seek balance among all the areas you may be juggling in whatever that might look like for you- give yourself some grace. I would love to hear what you thought of this episode, so be sure to leave a rating, review or shoot me a message on Instagram!
