Sam Wills is a British R&B and soul-pop singer-songwriter from Hastings, known for his enticing blend of intricate production and lush harmonies. Sam Wills released his debut album Breathe in 2021, amassing over 450 million streams worldwide. Sam Wills releaase new album ‘Speak’ with across twelve tracks, “Speak” tackles feelings of stagnation and escapism, as it plays in story order across themes of desperation, love, and heartbreak, finishing with acceptance and moving on.
Written at a time when Sam felt the world was standing still only for him, the collaborative throughline of the record highlights his process of making it through this darker period. On many of the tracks, Sam worked with long-term collaborator Phairo, whose input had a noticeable effect on the album.
