Lincoln Square Car-Free Zone Extended To May As Neighbors Make The Most Of Street Closure: The original plan was for the 4700 block of North Lincoln Avenue to be blocked off to car traffic for one week. But emergency repair work will extend the car-free zone until the middle of May, officials said.
Logan Square Alderman, Neighbors Want Deadbolt Bar Temporarily Closed After Shooting: Ald. Daniel La Spata is pushing for a summary closure of the bar after a Saturday shooting that left a woman wounded.
Expo Chicago Transforms The City Into A Global Art Mecca This Weekend: This year’s edition of the art fest features more than 170 leading galleries from 36 countries and 93 cities. Expo Chicago runs through Sunday at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall.
