In this episode, Jenny talks Harriet through the adaptations to the ALVS (Attend, Label, Validate, Soothe) technique when supporting an autistic person with an eating disorder. Using examples from carers Jenny has worked with, she explains the technique and how adaptations can be really helpful to establish connection with the person with an eating disorder.
