Welcome back for another episode of the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! We continue this week with Heir of Fire chapters 40-43.

To our surprise and delight this set of chapters turned out to be an emotional roller coaster ride. We laughed, we cried, and ultimately ended feeling hopeful about what the promise of tomorrow would bring for our beloved characters.

In Rifthold, Chaol’s allegiance is questioned by both Dorian and Aedion. Though he makes it clear he will stand with whatever Dorian decides, will it be enough? Meanwhile, Celaena and Rowan test the boundaries of her abilities at the Beltane celebration which leads to near burnout, a deepening of their relationship, and a major shift in Celaena’s self perception and skills.

As usual, our episode deep dive will include chapter summaries with our “Book Report,” an in depth analysis of key events, and our favorite moments from today’s chapters.
