JAKE & LARA: What's in An Apology?

CNN anchor Jake Tapper says he's apologized to Lara Trump for cutting off a 2020 interview in which she questioned Joe Biden’s cognitive health. However, in an interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News, it sounds like that apology didn't really happen. At the time, Tapper dismissed her comments as baseless and offensive. However, in promoting his new book Original Sin, Tapper admitted she “saw something [he] didn’t” and acknowledged he was wrong. Lara Trump, now a Fox News host, accepted the apology but called it “too late,” citing the broader consequences of media denial.
