Mark was written in the mid-to-late 60s AD by Mark, aka John Mark, cousin of Barnabas. He became Peter's follower, interpreter and transcriber. His writing was very accurate, though not in chronological order.

He introduces John the Baptist, whose life parallels that of Elijah. John's words are full of sweetness and judgment, and his ministry points ahead to the coming Christ. When Jesus is baptized by him, it is the beginning of the tearing of the veil between heaven and earth!

Mark describes Jesus as a warrior on the move: fighting demons, overcoming evil, restoring the blind and lame, warring against the kingdom of darkness.

The best thing that can happen to you is God calling you to repentance! We are blessed to have the opportunity to repent!!! Answer the call to repentance WHILE YOU STILL CAN.

Jesus is the coming King from Psalm 2, the Son of God. He didn't just know the Father, he's the Son of the Father, and is one with the Father. The King has finally arrived; there is one way to Heaven, and it's through him!

Mark wants us to know right away that Jesus isn't just a political figure, he's the Son of God. We must repent and give our lives to following him. It's not enough to know OF Jesus... if that's all you have, in Heaven he'll tell you to depart from him, as he never knew you. You must follow him! Living for him and following him is eternal, incorruptible!
