The most sought-after shooting coach, Chris Matthews, most notably known as Lethal Shooter, sat down with host Nick Cannon for the latest installment of the Cannon's Class series. Coming from extremely humble beginnings, Matthews' upbringing was a challenge in itself but it never deterred the basketball enthusiast from achieving greatness. Lethal Shooter is only a moniker that the world has become to know but for Chris, his story is more than just being one of the greatest basketball shooters known. Chris experienced much trauma going up, as he explains his parents were heavily involved with drugs, in which his older cousin and his wife raised a young Matthews. Chris' 2022 documentary explores his life and basketball career and how he gained his notoriety in the world of sports, but it is his love and inspiration for greatness, and the game of ball, that continues to drive his legacy. While he may not have made it to the NBA, Chris is now in a position where he has trained some of the biggest names in the NBA and WNBA as well as training some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including the likes of Chris Brown. Matthews shares with Nick how not making it to the NBA wasn't the end of his story and how him studying legends like Oprah or Eddie Murphy shifted his business mindset and his desire to be great. Lethal Shooter also goes on to speak about the importance of having a mentor to level up your game, his respect and admiration for the late Kobe Bryant, and much more.
