EPISODE 288 - Clark and Hyung open the show giving their takes on the new Bowman Red Rookie Redemption program that Topps announced recently. Is it a gimmick or a great idea?
Then for Hobby Headlines, they discuss several of the major announcements from the Topps Industry Conference including:
- Topps regaining NBA trading card license from Panini in October with plans to institute a buyback program similar to the MVP program currently in place for baseball
- First licensed Wemby cards coming.
- Panini to hold the NFL license through the 2025 season but some members of this year’s rookie class will be featured on licensed Topps cards when the license moves to Fanatics/Topps in March of next year.
- Topps will begin synching the colored parallels inside Chrome products.
- More special patches: ie. 2024 World Series logo patches from Yankees, Dodgers jerseys will become patch autograph booklets inside 2025 Topps Transcendent.
Then Clark plays a quick round of Over/Under with Hyung before ending the show with the pod's regular weekly segment called "Pick 1."
