Plotting the location of every defibrillator on Google Maps could help save lives - according to a Fine Gael senator. Manus Boyle is calling on the HSE to work with the tech company to allow people to search for their nearest A-E-D on its app. Between 2012 and 2023, there were 304 cases of defibrillation by members of the public, with an almost 30 per cent survival rate. Senator Boyle says most people don't know where their nearest defib is.
