The Burren and Cliffs Explorer Shuttle Bus was launched at the beginning of May of this year and operated until the end of August last. The service connected Miltown Malbay, Lahinch, Corofin, Liscannor, Doolin, Lisdoonvarna, Kilfenora, Ballyvaughan and the Cliffs of Moher Experience , with additional integration of two National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) routes serving the Burren National Park. The aim of the service was to reduce private car traffic, enhance visitor mobility, and support the economic sustainability of North Clare’s towns and villages. Following a successful first year with 46,742 passengers, a review of the service is due to take place.
