This week we talk with Dr. Corey Flowers. Dr. Corey Flowers is a guitarist and composer currently based in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He holds teaching positions at Agnes Scott College, Piedmont College, and with the UGA Community Music School. In addition to classical pursuits, Corey also writes and performs rock/metal music featuring a blending of styles, extended range instruments, mixed meters, virtuosic soloing, and intricate rhythms. His primary projects include the metal bands Beast Mode and Jet Engine Dragons. Additionally, he has recorded several solo instrumental EPs and most recently, a new full-length titled, I Must Not Forget This. He can also be found, mostly on YouTube, performing covers with the project Coriander.
