Manage episode 350626295 series 2995746
The Five Tibetan Rites is a system of exercises reported to be more than 2,500 years old, which were first publicized by Peter Kelder in a 1939 publication titled The Eye of Revelation. The Five Rites and traditional Tibetan yoga emphasize "a continuous sequence of movement". The practice of these exercises is based on the body’s energy. According to practitioners, the body has seven energy fields, or vortexes. The five positions are as follows: Tibetan Spin , Prone To Upward Staff Pose, Rabbit To Camel Pose, Staff To Upward Plank Pose, Upward Dog To Downward Dog.
