Today we will be talking about Cormac McCarthy's high school experience. This will be a part of a new series titled "The Life of Cormac McCarthy" which will be a biography on all the parts of his life!

Cormac McCarthy attended high school at "Knoxville Catholic School" from 1947 to 1951. His two older sisters were very active and successful students, and they also served as editors for the school paper. However, as the middle child, Cormac was of course going to take a different path. For the next four years, Cormac went pretty under the radar. He was an artist for the school newspaper, a member of the choir, and enjoyed playing softball. But, in general, Cormac steered clear of most of the emotional and time sucks that high school offers.
