Matthew 6:34 (NIV) “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Recorded live here in London, England with Reverend Ben Cooper
Worry rises sharply in the late hours of the night, and this scripture remains one of the most searched verses when the mind begins to race. From London to Los Angeles, from Los Angeles to Accra, from Accra to Kuala Lumpur, from Kuala Lumpur to São Paulo, countless people seek relief from restless thoughts, uncertainty, and emotional overload. This verse brings believers back to the present moment, reminding us that God meets us in today with strength for today. Worry pulls the heart into imagined futures, but Jesus directs us back into the safety of God’s daily provision. Across nations where worry searches peak after midnight, Matthew 6:34 becomes a stabilising anchor. It teaches us that God is already present in tomorrow, so we do not need to live there early. Today we pray for those carrying heavy concerns, financial fears, family pressures, and the weight of the unknown. God’s grace is sufficient for this day, and His presence is enough for this moment.
Prayer Points Prayer for worry to release its grip, prayer for rest over the mind at night, prayer for peace in uncertainty, prayer for strength when overwhelmed, prayer for God’s calm to settle anxious thoughts, prayer for clarity when the future feels unclear, prayer for emotional stability and restored confidence, prayer for a trusting heart that leans on God’s timing, prayer for relief from racing thoughts, prayer for renewed faith in God’s daily provision
Life Application When worry rises today, anchor your heart by repeating Matthew 6:34 and focusing on the strength God provides for this moment. Hand tomorrow back to God and receive His peace for today.
Declaration I declare that I will not worry about tomorrow, for God’s grace is enough for today.
