CD 1716 Importance

As I was walking and praying in the spirit, this question came to me very clearly: is what 's important to you also what is important to God? We need to stop and be still in the Lord's presence and ask him if we are self-centered or savior centered!

Q. What is most important to God?

A. Simply stated what is most important to God is a revelation of his love for his creation! That love is what brings his mercy, forgiveness and justice into our lives!

*Romans 5:8 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

*1 Corinthians 13:13 (KJV) And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

* 1 Peter 4:8 ( KJV) And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

*1 John 4:7-11 (KJV) Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

So it's very important to God who is the God of love for us to receive his love first! Then we can love him as Jesus taught in Matthew 22:37 through 39 and we can love others as we love ourselves! That is the utmost importance to the Lord God Almighty and everything that we desire should stem from his love. Make his love our number one priority!

The key to becoming more Savior-centered and less self-centered is to continually seek God's will and allow the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts.
