Former All Black Murray Mexted joins Martin Devlin on the DSPN, for a lively, no-holds-barred Super Rugby Pacific chat, mixing sharp analysis with classic Mexted humour. Murray's all in on the Chiefs, calling their unity under soon-to-depart coach Clayton McMillan “commendable,” and reckons the Hurricanes are peaking at just the right time with strike power all over the park. While he’s not convinced the Crusaders are fully “back", he gives them credit, and argues the Highlanders are better than their low ranking suggests - “a good team will always beat a team of good players.”

Mexted tips Fabian Holland as a future star, praises the leadership of Timoci Tavatavanawai and his rise from winger to midfield mainstay, and questions the inconsistency of the Blues, despite backing them to sneak into the playoffs. Through it all, he hammers one point home with classic Kiwi bluntness: it’s simple - win the ball, and you’ll win the game.
