What an amazing history. In this episode of Eat My Globe our host, Simon Majumdar, takes us through the proto-bagel world of ancient times to similar styles of bread from other countries. The history of the modern-day bagel may have originated in Poland but it became the go to breakfast of New York City – with a schmear, of course – and is now popular around the world. This episode will also touch on the origins of the "Everything" bagel, the London "beigel," the Montreal bagel, the rainbow bagel, and more.
