Season 10, Episode 190

Many veterans every November 11th hear the term that makes them cringe "Happy Veterans Day." For most this is a solemn day, sacred even, the better approach would be to thank them for their service and sacrifice and for petes sake, never think it is a good idea to ask them if they have ever killed anybody as it drudges up bad memories.

It is not your fault if you are not a Veteran and have said this in the past, we don't educate people on how to deal with men who served in war (voluntary or drafted). Nor do we put out customs and courtesies for Veterans day or its origin but in his podcast we do.

If you know a veteran, thank them for their service and sacrifice and probably the most you should expect in return is something to the effect of "Your Welcome" or "It was my honor to serve" but know that no matter what they respond, they appreciate your gratitude and it was an honor of their life to serve their country alongside other men and women.
