This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris tune into everyone's favorite dystopian game show, The Running Man, as the new Edgar Wright-directed take on the Stephen King novel hits theaters.

Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as Ben Richards, who is wrongfully imprisoned when he refuses to fire on unarmed civilians during a food riot and is dubbed "The Butcher of Bakersfield" when the footage is doctored to make it seem like he killed numerous civilians. Escaping prison, Richards is recaptured and forced to be a contestant on The Running Man, a game show hosted by the devious Damon Killian (Richard Dawson), where "Runners" must try to escape from the top killers called "Stalkers." Zach and Chris discuss how great Richard Dawson is in basically his only major film role, the practicality of fighting in full hockey goalie pads like Sub-Zero (Professor Toru Tanaka), Mick Fleetwood possibly playing himself, the nonsensical Arnold one-liners, and more.

You can watch The Running Man on Paramount+. Next week, we're discussing another dystopian competition with Robot Jox, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary.
