Tom Short is a new father to a one year old girl. After ten years in black and white stripes he chose to step away from NCAA D1 basketball officiating to ensure that he was physically present with his daughter and wife during this season in his life.

In this episode Tom shares with us:

  • What experience led him to make the decision to step away from officiating.
  • What he learned working with elite performers that he applies to his own life and fathering journey.
  • What mindset means to him and how it actually plays out in his life.
  • Why sports analogies are so prevalent in our society and how we can get the most out of the lessons we learn from sports.
