🌟 The Rapture: A Call to Preparedness 🌟

In this week's podcast, Pastor Tom Lindberg dives deep into a topic that stirs both curiosity and concern: the Rapture. 🎤✝️

Imagine this: A moment when Christ descends from the heavens, gathering believers into His embrace while the world spirals into chaos. For many, this isn’t just a theological discussion; it’s a wake-up call.

Pastor Tom passionately unpacks the concept of the Rapture, urging us to prepare not just ourselves, but also our loved ones. He emphasizes the chilling reality of the Great Tribulation – a time when those left behind will face unimaginable challenges. 😱

What does this mean for us?

  • Biblical Prophecy: Christianity stands unique in its detailed forecasts of the future. God has revealed His plans through prophets to prepare us.
  • The Role of the Antichrist: A seemingly peaceful leader will rise, only to reveal his true intentions. Those who are not vigilant will be caught off guard.
  • The Importance of Scripture: In a world where access to the Bible may be denied, the pastor urges us to obtain and hide copies of His word. 📖 The Antichrist will seek to erase scriptural truths, but we must hold firm.
  • Economic Control: Picture this: you can’t buy or sell without the "mark of the beast." Sounds like a dystopian novel, right? Yet, it’s a stark reminder of the reality we could face.
  • Spiritual Survival Strategy: For those left behind, Pastor Tom’s guidance is clear:- Brace for tough times.- Don’t be fooled by false prophets.- Secure your own Bible.- Develop a food survival plan.- Cry out to God for mercy.- Believe in Jesus Christ immediately.
  • The A-B-C of Salvation: It’s as simple as Acknowledge, Believe, Confess.

💔 This isn’t meant to instill fear; it’s meant to inspire action. As believers, we hold the responsibility to share this message, not just with ourselves but with the world around us.

Let’s spark conversations, spread hope, and prepare for the future—not just for ourselves, but for those who might be left behind.

Are you ready?

Now, some give generalities. Christianity is the only faith on the planet that gives detailed predictions of what's gonna happen. For example, look at this verse from Isaiah chapter 46. Isaiah 46, I am God, there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it ever happens. And everything that I plan is going to come to pass for I will do whatever I wish. And you see, God not only plans the future, but then he reveals the future to us. Look at that verse from Amos 3, the lower verse. Indeed, the sovereign Lord, he doesn't do anything unless he reveals his plans to his servants, the prophets. Leave those verses up there for just a moment. God plans the future, he reveals the future. And God has planned that his son, Jesus, is coming again, and he's revealed that to us. And the next big future event on God's timetable, it's something that we call the rapture, the rapture. Now, what is the rapture? Look at this screen. I can describe it to you in four simple, little statements. Here is the rapture. It'll be the next coming of Jesus. He will come in the clouds. He will come for his people. He'll come to gather all of those that trust in him, and it'll be before the great tribulation. By definition, that is the rapture. It's the next coming of Jesus. He is in the clouds, the dead in Christ, rise to meet him, and we that are alive and remain, we, too, rise to meet the Lord, and we're taken to heaven, and the rapture takes place before the great tribulation. Now, there's a lot of people that talk about the rapture. There's a lot of people that talk about the Lord's next coming. How many are ready for it? Look at what Jesus said. Look at this, what Jesus said. Two people will be in a field. When the rapture comes, one will be taken. One will be left behind. Jesus Christ said that. He said a husband and wife will be in bed. One will be taken. The other will be left behind. Everybody talks about the next coming. Everybody refers to the rapture. They use a different term, but how many are ready? Again, back to your friends. Of your circle of friends, eight, 10, 12 of them, how many of them are ready for the rapture? Of your relatives, how many of them are going to be left behind? We left behind when the Lord comes unless they change their way of life and their way of thinking and their way of inviting Christ into their life. So today I want to talk to you about this topic. What should you tell them to do? What should you tell your family and friends who are not ready for the rapture? What should you tell them to do if they miss the rapture? After the rapture takes place, what should you tell them? Do this, this, this. Now, I want to talk today very clearly this morning so there's no misunderstanding. I want to be as transparent as I can. This message is so important. Your friends, they can watch it on our app, no charge. They can watch it on our web page, no charge. We normally sell CDs out at that information center right out there for $4. This message is so important. I'm going to reduce the price of CDs today to $1. You want to pick up 10 CDs to pass? $1 a CD. This message needs to get out. What do you tell your family if they miss the rapture? What do you need to tell your friends to do if they miss the rapture? Number one, tell them to brace for some mighty, tough, rough, terrible times. Just brace themselves. Fasten their seatbelt. You see, after the rapture takes place on earth, the great tribulation begins. You see, after the rapture takes place on earth, the great tribulation begins. You see, after the rapture takes place on earth, the great tribulation begins. Seven years long, the Bible says it's divided into two equal three and a half times, portions I mean to say. The first three and a half years, there's peace and prosperity. The antichrist is gaining his footing. He is gaining the confidence of people. He brings peace to the world. He brings prosperity to the world. Halfway through the last three and a half years, all hell breaks loose. All hell breaks loose. All hell breaks loose. Look at this verse. Here's what happens in the middle of the tribulation, Revelation chapter six. Here's the middle of the tribulation, Revelation chapter 6. And when the lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the fourth living creature, he began to say this, come. And I looked and I saw a horse whose color was a pale green. The rider was named Death, and his companion was the Grave. And these two were given authority over one-fourth of the earth to kill God. Until one-fourth of the earth with sword and famine and disease and wild animals to attack and ravage. Tell them to brace for terrible times. Think of our world today. Our world today is changing so fast you can barely keep up with the changes. Am I right? Does your head ever spin with the changes? People are asking, where are we headed? We've abandoned God and our nation. Anything goes today. The Christian mindset, the Christian culture, the Christian consensus at one time dominated America. No more. We are living in days of the quicksand of secularism and socialism. It's all around our nation and all around our world. You know, there's many people today, they're calling for a new world order and they use that very term. They say we need a one world government. We need a one world economy. We need a one world military, the Pope, Dalai Lama, and the World Council of Churches. They have called for a one world religion. And what people are calling for today will be realized during the Great Tribulation, after the Rapture takes place. And you need to tell your friends and your family that are not prepared, you need to tell them, if you miss the Rapture, if you're left behind, just brace for terrible times. Brace yourself. There are tough times that lie ahead. Second, tell them this. Tell them don't be fooled by the Antichrist.

During the Great Tribulation, a world leader will arise, the Bible says. It will be the Antichrist. Now a lot of people are confused about the Antichrist. He will be a human being. He's not a devil. He's not a demonic. He's not a spirit. He will be a human being. He will be a man. He will be indwelt by the demonic. He will be controlled by Satan. Daniel talked about him. Jesus spoke of him. Paul the Apostle spoke of him many times. So did John the Apostle. They all spoke about this man.

He'll come on the world stage as Mr. Wonderful. Oh, the world will love him. He will stop wars and bring peace during the first three and a half years. He will fix the world's economy and bring prosperity to the world. He will rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. And he will solve the Israeli-Arab conflict. The world will absolutely hail his ascendancy. And the world will adore this man for the first portion of the Great Tribulation. And then halfway through, he will become meaner than a junkyard pig. He will turn. He will bear his fangs. Once he has gained power, he will show his true colors. Now, Revelation 13 reveals this man. Let me show you five things about the Antichrist. He's exposed to us. And his game plan is set forth in Revelation 13 with these verses. You that have your app, you've got them right in front of you. He will begin. He will deify Satan. Verse 4 says, he will cause the world to worship the dragon. That is Satan. He will do signs and wonders. And he'll say, worship Satan himself. He will deify Satan. He will defy our Savior. Bible says in verse 5, he will blaspheme the God of heaven. Then what he will do is he will destroy saints. These are the people that are left behind during the Great Tribulation. They come to Christ. They believe on him. And the Antichrist, it says, he begins to make war against them. And the butchery like you're seeing of Isis right now, that's just a Sunday school picnic compared to what is going to happen. And then verse 7 also says he will dominate society. You can read it right out of those verses. It says, he will have authority over every tribe, every tongue, every nation. And he will deceive people. He will let them think that he is the true blood of God. He will be the true leader that they need. And tell your friends this, don't be fooled by the Antichrist. He will come.

Your friends, they missed the rapture. Tell them, don't be fooled by the Antichrist. Your family, don't be fooled. There will be a man that comes. He will seem bigger and larger than life. Don't let him deceive you. Who is he? Where is he today? I don't know. But he will come. He will come. Who is he? I don't know. You know why? Because he is not going to be revealed until after the rapture. And anybody who today tells you to know who the Antichrist is, they are wrong. Because the Antichrist is not revealed until the rapture is complete. And we are part way through the great tribulation time. I don't know who he is. But I know he is coming. I know he is coming. And tell your friends if they missed the rapture. Do not be bamboozled by this super human being that is going to come upon the planet. And try to deceive somebody. There are so many. And then number three. Tell them to get a Bible and hide it. When the Antichrist is in charge, he is going to try to stamp out every and any thought of God. He will quickly move to eliminate every scripture.

Are we getting just a taste of that today?

The Bible is out of public schools.

Many of our buildings in Washington, D.C., when they were built back in the 20s, 30s, and 40s. They etched in the side of the sandstone or concrete. They would etch a Bible verse. Those are being sandblasted off in our nation's capital. Wall by wall. It used to be you would go in a court of law and you would raise your right hand. You would put your left hand on the Bible. The Bible is out in most courtrooms in America today. We are trying to silence.

I am a preacher. Rappers. Rappers in our nation. They can go out and they can rap songs like, Let's Kill Cops. People will defend their right by the First Amendment, the freedom of speech. Rappers will go out and they will sing songs and they will rap songs about, Let's go out and kill cops. They will become celebrities and they will earn multiple millions of dollars. Groups will fight viciously that they have the right to rap that music, Let's Kill Cops. But I come to a pulpit and I can take the word of God and I can read Genesis 1 and chapter 2 that says marriage should be between one man and one woman. I can come over the New Testament and I can read passages that say that adultery and homosexuality are outside of God's program. And the same people that defend the right of the rappers to tell people to kill cops, they will call me at best. Who are you to decide? And at worst, they'll call me hate speech. And friends, I want you to hear me. I will be civil, but I will not be silent. I will be civil, but I will not be silent. And that's the nation we live in today. And when the Antichrist has an iron fisted grip on control, your friends that missed the rapture, your family that missed, they won't be able to run to the local bookstore and buy a Bible. They won't be available. They won't be able to jump online and say, oh, let me download a Bible program. Won't be there. Won't be there. Tell your friends if they missed the rapture, get a Bible, read it. Begin to network with other Christians. By the way, aren't you glad today we live in this city where we are free to own a Bible, to read the Bible, and study the Bible. To God be the glory. Listen, don't take that for granted. Seven billion people on planet Earth, three billion of them live in countries where you cannot buy a Bible, read the Bible openly, study the Bible. Three billion out of the seven billion cannot freely sit down and read a Bible. We are watching the Bible being ripped out of the world today. Thank God the Lord is still in charge. Still in charge. And then, tell your friends next. Next, tell them you better develop a plan to get food. You say, Pastor, you mean no, no, no food available during the Great Tribulation? Plenty of food. Plenty of food. But to get it, you need the mark of the beast. The Bible is crystal clear. Look at Revelation 13. The Antichrist requires everyone. Now, who's left out of that? Nobody. The Antichrist, during the Great Tribulation, he will require everyone, small, great, rich, poor, the big shots, the little shots, the billionaires, the people that don't have much, the free, the slave. They'll be given a mark either on their right hand or their forehead. And no one can buy, can't sell without that mark, which is the number and the name of the beast. Could be a tattoo type of configuration that is imprinted on the hand. I don't know. Some people believe it'll be a chip. A chip that is inserted just under the skin. I don't know. It's going to be something. But here's my point. You go to the store, no mark, no merchandise. You don't have the seal, you don't get a sale. No mark, no merchandise. No seal, no sale. You won't be able to go to Kroger and buy food without the mark of the beast. You won't be able to go to Walgreens and buy your medicine without the mark of the beast. You won't be able to drive into your favorite gas station and flip the gas tank open and pop your credit card in there and pump up unless you take the mark of the beast. There's only one way. No mark, no merchandise, no seal, no sale. There it is right there. How clear could it be? How clear could it be? And tell your friends whatever, whatever, whatever they do, if they miss the rapture, tell them do not take the mark of the beast. If they take the mark of the beast, their eternity is forever set.

How many of your friends right now are ready to go? How many of your friends know about the rapture and the second coming? Probably most of them. How many are ready? Your family, how many know about the fact the Lord came once at Christmas, he's coming again? Most of them? 80%? How many are ready? How many will be left behind? Some say, Pastor, it just can't happen that fast. Seven years? It can't happen that fast. Consider Germany, 1933. Germany had just suffered defeat in World War I. They were beaten. They were bankrupt. They were weak. 1933. 1933, Hitler came to power. He won by one vote in the Reichstag. 1933, he wins by one vote. Germany is beaten, bankrupt, and weak. Seven years later, 1940, he controls nearly all of Europe, and Germany is booming.

And Hitler's reign of terror began. He did that in seven years. Interesting. The exact length of time of the Great Tribulation.

Don't tell me it can't happen that. We've watched it. Some of you were alive during those days. Some of you are old enough to be alive during the time from 1933 when Hitler came to power, and Germany had nothing, broken, beaten, weak. By 1940, he controlled most of Western Europe, and he looked undefeatable.

Then next, tell them this. Tell them to cry out to God for mercy and help. Tell them to cry out. Listen, God will be there. You better tell them, cry out to God. You say, there will be prayer meetings during the Great Tribulation? People will attend prayer meetings during the Great Tribulation better than they attend them now.

I personally believe, I personally believe, the greatest revival, in the history of the world, is going to take place during the Great Tribulation. There will be more people saved then, during, than any other time. But it'll be costly. It'll cost them their life. So simple to understand. I talked a little earlier when we took offering about flying out to Denver, Colorado. Sandy and I flew out to Denver, and we boarded the plane. Virtually all of you have done it. And we get on the plane down at Memphis International, and a pretty young stewardess comes, and she says, ladies and gentlemen, as we're taking off, let me show you some of the safety equipment of this airplane. Right in front of you is a little card, and she's explaining what to do with seat belts, and in case there's a problem, airbags will drop, and then she says, just breathe normally. Who's going to breathe normally at a time like that? But she's explaining, the exit doors are here, and I looked around, not one person was paying a lick of attention to that sweet girl. Nobody was listening to her. Had we been halfway to Denver, and we're at 32,000 feet cruising nicely, the pilot comes on and says, ladies and gentlemen, we are experiencing engine difficulty. No ifs, ands, or buts. We're going down. The stewardess is going to give you some information. Everybody's listening. Nobody's snoozing. See, right now, people hear, oh, the Lord's coming, and there's a lot of snoozing. And the Antichrist is in charge, and everybody sees the world is going down. There's going to be prayer meetings like you've never heard before. There are going to be people coming to Christ, but it's going to cost them greatly. It's going to cost them their... The Antichrist will butcher the vast majority of them, like we are seeing happening today with ISIS. When they take Christian believers and they behead them, they boil them in oil, they put them in cages, and they drop them under the water and cause them to drown, that's just a dress rehearsal for what the Antichrist is going to do. But tell your friends that are not ready, tell them you better cry out to God for mercy because God will listen. And then tell your friends one last thing, okay? Tell them this. Tell them this. Tell them, don't wait. Believe on Jesus Christ today.

Don't wait. Don't wait, you say to your friends. Don't wait, you say to your family. Why wait? Believe on the Lord today. Look at this verse. Jesus said in Revelation chapter 3, because you have obeyed my command to persevere, because you've trusted me, God says, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to protect you from the great time of testing that is going to come on this whole world to test those that belong to this world. What's God telling us there? God's saying this. You put your life in God's hands, tell them you believe on the Lord today. You surrender your life to him today and God will protect you. I believe that verse implies that when the rapture comes, he'll take us and remove us out of here before the great tribulation begins. That's what you need to tell your friends. That's what you need to tell your family. Don't dilly-dally. Don't play Russian roulette with your life. Believe in the Lord today. You say, but if they ask me how, what do I tell them? It's as simple as A, B, C. them A, you just acknowledge that you can't save yourself. Letter B, you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. God sent him to earth. He died upon a cross for you. He was raised out of the grave for you. You acknowledge you can't save yourself. Letter B, you believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Letter C, you confess him with your mouth and you believe in your heart that God raised him out of the grave. And you say, Lord, I confess that I'm weak. I confess that I'm a sinner. I confess that I can't save myself. I confess I can't get to heaven to you. But Lord, I believe in you. I believe that you're the Savior of the world. Lord, save me. And then make a determination to follow him. I'll tell you what. They do that and Jesus says, I make all things new. I make all things new. He takes my past and he eliminates it. And God makes all things new. Hallelujah. That's what he's able to do. So that's what you need to tell your friends. Think of your friends right now. How many are not ready for the rapture? When the Lord comes in the clouds for his people before the great tribulation, how many are not ready but they're going to be left behind like Jesus said? Two will be out in the field. Could be a baseball field. Could be a field where they're out hunting. Husband and wife will be in bed asleep. Bang, one's taken. One's left. How many of your family are not ready? How many of your friends? Oh, tell them to come to Christ today. Tell them they can believe on the Lord right now. Now, we're going to pray. The praise team is going to come back because we're going to sing a song. But I want to pray for you. Can I do that? Can I pray for you this morning? Many of you what I'm going to pray for today, many of you I'm going to pray that God will give you boldness to begin to start telling family and friends that are not ready for the rapture. Many of you I'm going to pray that God's going to give you boldness. To go out and begin to talk with them. Warn them. You see, prophecy is not designed to scare people. Prophecy is designed to prepare people.

It's not designed to scare us. It's designed to prepare us. So we're ready for what will come to pass. As sure as my name is Tom Lindberg, what I've talked about today, the coming of the Lord, it will happen. I do not know when. It could be this week. It could be next month. It could be five years from now. But as sure as my name is Tom Lindberg, the Lord will come.

Prophecy is not designed to scare people. It's designed to prepare people. And God wants to use you to go out and help people be prepared. So when I pray, I'm going to pray for many of you that God's going to give you the boldness to begin to talk to your family and friends that are not ready. Then I'm also going to pray because some here, you're just not ready. As you've heard me speak today, in your heart of hearts, you know if the Lord were to come this week, you'd be left behind. You'd be one of those people that Jesus talked about. Two will be in a field. Bang. One is gone. One is left. A husband and wife will be in bed. The rapture takes place. One reaches over. Where's my husband? Where's my wife? Gone. And some of you are, you're just not prepared. This message is not designed to scare you. It's designed to prepare you. You can come to Christ right now today. Let's pray. Father, I begin by praying. Oh God, with every head bowed, every eye closed, praying together. Lord, I pray. Andrew, you can start on the piano softly. God, I pray right now for many, many people here today, Lord God. As I was preaching, they were thinking of family. They were thinking of friends that are not ready for the Lord's next coming. They had faces in their mind. They had names on their lips. And Father, they've been timid to share the good news of Jesus. Lord, I'm not here to heap guilt on anybody. I'm here to let them know there's power in the name of Jesus. And if they will simply begin to share the good news, the Holy Spirit will take their words and the Holy Spirit will use their words to draw people to the Savior, Jesus Christ. So Lord, embolden people here today. Father, the scripture declares, I am not ashamed of the gospel. It's the power of God unto salvation to all that believe. Father, some parents need to begin talking to their children. Some children need to begin talking to their grown parents who are not ready for the next coming. Some brothers need to start to talk to a brother or a sister. And God, we need to begin to prepare people, not scare them, but prepare them. Father, help us. Help us, Lord. Father, give boldness to men and women here today. And then last, with your head bowed, eyes closed, how many are here and you say to me, Pastor, as you've talked today about people are going to miss the rapture, you were talking about me. I'm not going to miss the rapture. I'm not ready. I am just not ready. I know about his coming, but I'm not prepared for his coming. Would you pray for me today? My answer is absolutely. You can take that to the bank. I will pray for you and God will hear my prayer and God can save you right now today and make you ready and give you judgment day assurance you're ready to stand before God. How many here say, Pastor, pray for me. I'm just not ready to go in the rapture. Come on, let's pray again. God bless you. God bless you. Yep. In the balcony. God bless you. God bless you. Yep. God bless you. Yep. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. Yep. In the balcony. God bless you. Yep. God bless you in the balcony. God bless you. One of our young people. God bless you.

Lord, thank you for these ones that are simply saying, Lord, I'm not ready and I want to be. God, I'm not prepared, but I am as of now

I believe that Jesus Christ is your son and he's my savior and right now I confess my sins and I say God I'm sorry for living life without you and being rebellious against you now save me today and Lord I am determined to follow you help me by the power of your Holy Spirit in Jesus name I thank you Lord amen amen come on stand with me and give the Lord a great great hand of praise as we sing this song come on give the Lord a hand of praise
