Joining Paul Webster and guest-host Steve Gunn this week is director, Laura Way. Laura grew up in Wexford’s ‘Theatre Workshop’ founded by her parents Michael Way and Irene Wright. There she established her early acting credentials as well as working in all areas of theatre crafts and production. She studied Art (performance and multimedia) and graduated with honours from Waterford Institute of Technology in 2000. Laura is an award-winning director who received acclaim directing for the EastEnders ‘Consent’ episode which was nominated for Best Single Episode at the British Soap Awards. Bodecii Film, Laura's production company is developing a number of productions and Laura works extensively with Wexford Writers, Helping Scripting For Broadcast. Which is funded by Screen Skills Ireland, Creative Ireland & Screen Wexford, Laura is also a founding member of Screen Wexford. Laura has also directed on RED ROCK and on BLOOD for Virgin Media Television. Credits include: 2019: BLOOD II – Company Pictures/West Road Pictures; 2018-19: EASTENDERS – BBC; 2016-17: RED ROCK – Company Pictures/Element Pictures. Theatre credits include: THE KILL GOD – Wexford National Opera House; ORANGE FLOWER WATER – Mill Theatre. Her most recent work "The Holiday" will broadcast on Channel 5 in January 22.
